Behavior Technician (BT/RBT)
About The Position
Windwatch Behavioral Services, a Finni Health company, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician (BT/RBT) in Bay Shore, New York. The technician provides one-on-one, in-person Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children in their homes, using behavior intervention plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support children's development and daily lives. The role includes collecting and recording client progress and behavior data, participating in BCBA supervision, and attending required team meetings and training sessions. Work is part-time on weekdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Compensation is $22–$25 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children.
- Passion for supporting children with special needs.
- Reliable transportation.
- Active CPR certification.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Pass a background check; employment offers are contingent on successful screening.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to kneel, squat, crawl, sit, and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable engaging in play and physical activity with children.
Nice To Haves
- RBT certification, or willingness to obtain it within a set timeframe.
