Behavior Technician
About The Position
Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, the Behavior Technician or ABA Therapist role provides 1-to-1 Applied Behavioral Analysis services to children diagnosed with Autism (ASD). Therapy sessions usually run 3-4 hours and primarily take place during after school hours in the client's home, Community, and/or at our Center. Our team focuses on assigning cases as locally as possible (usually within 30 minutes) to your home address or regular school/other work location Travel time pay and mileage reimbursements are available (when applicable).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Valid Driver's License (Required)
- Friendly, energetic, and enjoys working with individuals with special needs
- Experience working with children
- Ability to attend an initial orientation
- Timely and organized
- Ability to work independently
- Proven ability to communicate effectively within a variety of situations
- Must have a reliable, personal vehicle
- Must be able to work 2- 3 weekday afternoons to evenings (ie. 3-8:00PM)
- Looking to work 10+ Hours per week (Part Time)
Nice To Haves
- Some Saturday availability is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Manage 1 to 1 ABA services for kids with Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- Run regular sessions (about 2-5 hours)
- Flexible hours/custom scheduling
- Work in home, center, and/or Community settings -depends on client's needs
- Working with families for effective collaboration
- Submitting all required paperwork in a timely manner
- Electronic Data collection
- Implementing individualized behavior support plans
- Implementing skill acquisition programs
