About The Position

This role provides 1-to-1 Applied Behavioral Analysis services to children and young adults (ages 2-22) diagnosed with Autism. Therapy sessions usually run 3-4 hours and primarily take place during after school hours in the client's home, Community, and/or at our Center. The team focuses on assigning cases as locally as possible (usually within 30 minutes) to your home address or regular school/other work location. Travel time pay and mileage reimbursements are available (when applicable). AKABA is a private and independent agency founded in 2014 in Massachusetts by health care professionals. They work with families with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders in their homes, communities and at their center to provide high quality ABA Services. They use the Science of ABA to implement individualized interventions that help clients cultivate functional behaviors in a variety of settings by enhancing communication skills and teaching strategies for self-regulation.

Requirements

  • Must have Your Own Car or Access to a Vehicle (not Uber/Bus)
  • Must have a Driver's License
  • Must have 2-3 days of afternoon availability (ie. between 3-8 PM)
  • Must have completed High School
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Valid Driver's License (Required)
  • Personal vehicle (Required)
  • Friendly, energetic, and enjoys working with individuals with special needs
  • Experience working with children
  • Comfortable going into people's homes and helping families learn how to manage the effects of an Autism diagnosis
  • Ability to attend an initial orientation
  • Timely and organized
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively within a variety of situations

Nice To Haves

  • Some Saturday availability is preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree, EEC and other certifications are welcomed
