About The Position

Centria is seeking enthusiastic, Spanish-speaking Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism. The technician implements individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. Comprehensive training is provided, and prior experience is not required. The role involves active work with children, who may be unpredictable and potentially confrontational, and requires comfort moving through a range of positions and lifting or carrying children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The position offers a pay range of $19–$20 per hour.

Requirements

• Passion for helping children with autism reach their full potential.
• Patience, compassion, and ability to work well in a team environment.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and a tuberculosis test if one has not been completed within the last year.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move through various positions, including sitting, squatting, and bending.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
