About The Position

Centria is seeking enthusiastic Spanish-speaking Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism. The role involves implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills, and reducing interfering behaviors. Comprehensive training is provided, and prior experience is not required. The position calls for patience, compassion, and teamwork, and may involve working with children who can be unpredictable or confrontational. The stated pay range is $18–$24.

Requirements

• Be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Be patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and a tuberculosis test if one has not been completed within the last year.
• Be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Be able to move in various positions, including sitting, squatting, and bending.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Be bilingual in Spanish.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Behavioral Technician.
• Experience working with children with autism or other learning disabilities.
• Experience as a Teacher’s Aid, tutor, CNA, caregiver, or Home Health Aide.
