About The Position

The Edinburg Center is seeking an experienced Part-Time Fee-for-Service Behavior Technician to provide community-based ABA support to a 23-year-old male with high-functioning autism in Shrewsbury, MA. The weekly number of hours will average 6-12 hours per week. The hourly rate is $25/hr. The candidate must be able to meet the specified requirements and work the provided weekly schedule.

Requirements

BA in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Special Education, or a human service-related field; OR Associate's degree and a minimum of two years relevant direct experience with families and youth with serious emotional and behavioral challenges and autism; OR At least one year experience utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis in a therapeutic setting.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required, and be able to meet safe driving requirements.
Experience in implementing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with autism is required.
Excellent written and interpersonal skills, team player.

Nice To Haves

Experience in implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching new skills, including direct instruction, discrete trial training, incidental teaching, task analysis, and other ABA methods.
Experience working with youth 21 years and under with serious emotional and behavioral challenges or Autism.

Responsibilities

Implement, model, and monitor progress of individualized behavior support and skill plans based on data analysis under the supervision of BCBA, concentrating on social skills, communication, and behavioral support.
Work collaboratively and independently with team members, especially parents.
Assist in training parents and caregivers who implement plans with children and families on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis with excellent oral and written communication skills.
