About The Position

Under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), the Behavior Technician models and carries out behavior support plans (BSPs), including skill-building and behavior-reduction techniques for children and young adults. The role also assists with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), collects data, and trains caregivers to support follow-through at home. Behavior Technicians provide consistent one-on-one support in home, clinic, or school settings, typically working with the same client to promote continuity and progress. Sessions are generally scheduled five days per week and last approximately two to three hours, though they may be up to four hours. Technicians follow individualized treatment plans and structured activities to teach skills, support goals, and reduce challenging behaviors. They implement behavior intervention plans, assist with activities of daily living such as toileting and self-care, conduct therapeutic activities, collect and document client data in Central Reach, and complete session notes. The Evaluation and Treatment Clinic serves clients across a wide area of Western New York. Technicians are assigned to clients at management’s discretion and are expected to travel to and from client homes within Erie and surrounding counties. This is a per diem opportunity; the hourly rate is based on relevant years of experience.
