Behavior Technician
About The Position
We are looking for a Behavior Technician (BT) who is patient, positive, and dedicated to changing children's lives. This role offers strong clinical mentorship, career pathways, and a supportive culture focused on collaboration. You will work 1:1 with children aged 18 months to 6 years with autism in a center-based environment, delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The role involves building skills through play, tracking progress with ABA technology, creating a safe environment, and preparing for RBT certification.
Requirements
- Full-time availability Monday–Friday, between 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Reliability — showing up for scheduled hours and staying on top of administrative tasks
- Resilience and compassion, especially on the tough days
- Ability to obtain RBT certification within 45 days of employment — we'll prepare you
- Physical readiness for the role: pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds; sitting on the floor, stooping, standing, walking, and moving quickly alongside kids when needed
Nice To Haves
- Interest in psychology, education, healthcare, or human services
- Experience with children is a plus
Responsibilities
- Delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), guided by individualized treatment plans
- Building skills through play, connection, and the kind of presence that helps a child feel safe enough to try
- Tracking progress and documenting sessions using ABA technology
- Creating a safe, positive environment for every child you work with
- Preparing for your RBT certification exam within your first 45 days
