About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) is seeking a dedicated PRN Behavior Technician to provide compassionate care and support to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health needs in our short-term Crisis Therapeutic Home in Staunton, VA. The Behavior Technician will help lead daily programs and group activities designed to promote growth, engagement, and skill development. They will provide rehabilitative interventions and implement therapeutic strategies to help guests achieve their goals, while also assisting with personal care to ensure safety and dignity. Collaboration with primary care providers, referral sources, and families is essential for consistent, compassionate, and coordinated care. The role also involves providing education, guidance, and a supportive environment, as well as maintaining daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system.

Requirements

• Experience working with IDD/Behavioral Health (BH) disorders required.
• BT I: High School diploma and behavior health experience.
• BT II: QMHP (trainee), or The ability to register as a Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee and be approved within 30 days of hire.
• Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work.

• Maintain daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system.
