About The Position

Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center (ABTC) is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join their team as Behavior Technicians. The position involves helping children develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), an evidence-based therapy. ABA therapy uses positive reinforcement to teach skills and reduce challenging behaviors, aiming to increase a child's independence and success. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Available a minimum of 15 hours per week
  • Afternoon/evening availability between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance and registration
  • Willing to travel up to 25 miles from your home for client sessions
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable learning data collection and behavior intervention techniques

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience working with children is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
  • Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills
  • Help reduce challenging behaviors using positive, evidence-based strategies
  • Collect accurate session data and complete clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with supervising clinicians to support client progress
  • Communicate professionally with families and caregivers
  • Attend ongoing training and team meetings
