About The Position

Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center is hiring a Behavior Technician to provide individualized, one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with autism and other developmental disabilities. The role involves working with children primarily ages 3–17 in home and center settings, using treatment plans developed by a BCBA and positive, evidence-based strategies to build skills and support greater independence. Sessions typically last 2–5 hours. The position offers mentorship, clinical support, paid training, and opportunities for career advancement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
• Afternoon and evening availability between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and vehicle registration.
• Willingness to travel up to 25 miles from home for client sessions.
• Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable learning data collection and behavior intervention techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients’ homes.
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA.
• Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills.
• Help reduce challenging behaviors using positive, evidence-based strategies.
• Collect accurate session data and complete clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with supervising clinicians to support client progress.
• Communicate professionally with families and caregivers.
• Attend ongoing training and team meetings.
