About The Position

Lakeview Center provides comprehensive behavioral health care to adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies, and intellectual disabilities across Northwest Florida. Its services include residential treatment, outpatient counseling, psychiatry, trauma care, substance misuse treatment, and 24/7 support for people with serious mental illnesses. A Behavior Health Technician assists counseling, therapeutic, and nursing staff by providing clinical support to adults and children receiving substance abuse, mental health, or co-occurring disorder services. Services may take place in residential programs, inpatient settings, day/evening programs, outpatient programs, or community-based programs. The position is part-time and based at Arcadia Place. Base pay is $15.00–$16.12 per hour, depending on experience. A shift differential of $2.00–$4.00 is available if applicable. A sign-on bonus is mentioned, but no amount or terms are provided. Drug testing and a Level II background screening are required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be able to obtain the provided CPR certification.
Must be able to pass the provided CPI training.
Must be able to complete the provided 20 hours of required Child Caring Agency (CCA) training.
Must pass Human Trafficking training and certification within 60 days of hire.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Must pass organizational screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate; a Level II background screening is required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state of residence, have a good driving record, and be insurable under the corporate policy.
Drug testing is required.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience working in a behavioral health setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Establish a positive helping relationship with people receiving services.
Assist people receiving services with activities of daily living, accessing needed resources, and building functional, pro-social relationships.
Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of people receiving services.
Implement specific interventions according to each person’s treatment or service plan.
Monitor and document each person’s progress.
Provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families, as required.
Work in other behavioral health programs as needed.
