Requirements

• Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or developmental disabilities.
• Understanding of autism spectrum disorders and related challenges.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of children with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct 1:1 services by implementing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
• Implementing skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs, as written by the BCBA
• Collecting and graphing data using an online data collection system [CentralReach]
• Completing the necessary requirements to become a Registered Behavior Technician, within 90 days of active employment.
• Participating and completing the recommended training opportunities, both in-person and virtually with our Training Coordinator [compensated at a training rate]
• Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
