About The Position
We are seeking a high-energy and compassionate Behavior Technician / ABA Para to work one-on-one with a child in New Providence, NJ. This role involves helping children develop important skills, build confidence, and learn through fun, engaging activities. The ideal candidate will be patient, kind, dependable, energetic, compassionate, playful, and responsible, with a genuine interest in making a difference in a child's life. Previous experience is not required, and training and support will be provided. This is a part-time opportunity with a pay rate of $20-$30 per hour, making it a great fit for students or those seeking meaningful work that fits their schedule. Experience in psychology, education, special education, or speech therapy can be beneficial.
Requirements
- Have the energy of a toddler who just discovered they can run.
- Take UNO seriously enough to need a five-minute emotional recovery after someone plays a Draw Four.
- Say “GOOD JOB!!!” loudly.
- Turn playing a game into a whole educational experience without making it feel like homework.
- Occasionally make a silly noise for absolutely no reason.
- Have a big heart and want to help children learn, grow, and celebrate their progress.
- Be patient and kind.
- Be dependable.
- Be energetic and ready to engage with children.
- Be compassionate and willing to learn.
- Be able to be playful while staying responsible.
- Be interested in making a real difference in a child's life.
Nice To Haves
- Studying Psychology, Education, Special Education, or Speech Therapy.
- RBT Certification is not required, but a willingness to learn is valued.
Responsibilities
