About The Position

The San Diego Unified School District is currently accepting applications for the position of Behavior Support Specialist. This promotional open opportunity is open to all interested candidates. This list will be good for three months with the possibility to be extended. Requirements

  • Completion of college-level courses in psychology, special education, or related field, and three years of related experience.
  • Personality and character traits suited to providing services for students with serious behavior challenges.
  • Some positions may require proficiency in a foreign language and/or sign language.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in data collection and assessment for behavior support services.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and training staff in the use of positive behavior support and intervention techniques.
