About The Position

The paraprofessional communicates with the bus driver and school staff about concerns and follows safety protocols and emergency procedures. Responsibilities

Assist students with disabilities in boarding and exiting the bus safely.
Ensure students are seated and secured properly during transit.
Support students with mobility challenges, including assisting with wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe, orderly bus environment.
Communicate with the bus driver and school staff about transportation issues or concerns.
Attend to individual student needs, including personal care tasks when necessary.
Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures during bus incidents or emergencies.
Help with other school tasks when needed.
