About The Position

This position is for a Behavior Support Clerk at Scott Highlands Middle School, working 4 hours per day on a 10-month calendar, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The role is effective at the beginning of the 2026-27 school year. Requirements

  • Familiarity with district student right and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of child development.
  • Prior experience with behavior management in a school setting.
  • An ability to hold high expectations while maintaining a student centered approach.

  • A high degree of patience and flexibility.

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed staff with crisis intervention as directed.
  • Background or experience in working with students on conflict resolution.
  • Ability to relate well to students, staff and parents.
  • Monitor/manage students needing behavior support.
  • Confidentiality and respectful rapport with parents and staff.
  • Record keeping of student behaviors.
  • Be fair and consistent in following district discipline policy and student behavior plans.
  • Other duties as assigned by principal.
