Behavior Specialist, MPTN Chiled Development Center
About The Position
The Behavior Specialist is responsible for providing behavioral strategies to strengthen children's social-emotional skills and improve their ability to learn. This role also involves providing support and coaching to families and staff working with these children, utilizing developmentally appropriate practices. The specialist will collaborate with families and staff to refer, develop, and implement individual behavior plans, and make referrals to outside agencies as needed. Coordination with the Early Childhood Services Manager and paraprofessionals is also a key part of the role. The specialist will work with families in their homes to support the implementation of individual behavior plans and assist teaching staff in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with children and families. Responsibilities include monitoring, collecting, and analyzing data to assess the effectiveness of social-emotional/behavioral health practices, and participating in assigned meetings and trainings. A compassionate and understanding approach to the needs of children and families from all backgrounds is essential.

Responsibilities
