The role involves providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for students with autism and behavioral needs, including developing and overseeing behavior support systems, supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs). Responsibilities also include training staff on ABA strategies, analyzing behavioral data, and consulting with school districts. Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to required training and licensing standards are essential aspects of the position.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Ed., or related field with National Board Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Meets educational eligibility requirements for Pennsylvania Behavior Specialist Licensure (LBS)
  • Demonstrates professionalism, leadership, confidentiality, strong social communication skills, time management, organized.
  • Must possess skills to communicate effectively and interact well with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Training and Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Experience working in a school setting with students with emotional behavioral concerns
  • Experience in a behavioral consultant role with public or private schools and/or certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board BCBA is a plus, but not required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in behavioral consulting to public or private schools and Pennsylvania FBA certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services across Soaring Heights Schools (SHS) and develops behavior support systems for students diagnosed with autism and emotional/behavioral support needs
  • Supervises Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
  • Supports and guides staff with implementation of ABA strategies in the classrooms
  • Conducts Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
  • Designs positive behavior support plans (PBSPs)
  • Trains designated staff to perform FBAs and PBSPS
  • Reviews and provides oversight of FBAs and PBSPs
  • Analyzes and graphs behavioral data
  • Trains and supports staff with implementation of positive behavior support plans
  • Designs behavioral data collection systems and trains staff on implementation of these systems
  • Designs and provides group trainings on various ABA methodologies and strategies to SHS staff
  • Evaluates staff fidelity of ABA strategies implementation
  • Provides behavioral support to students and staff utilizing the behavioral skills training (BST) technique or components of this technique
  • Assists with crisis intervention techniques
  • Consults with contracted school districts to provide ABA behavior support and recommendations as assigned
  • Communicates effectively, timely and appropriately with all staff
  • Works collaboratively with all staff
  • Is present at the schools during school hours
  • Other relevant duties as assigned
