As a Behavioral Specialist, you will serve on a clinical interdisciplinary team to represent and advocate for each participant's behavioral health needs. You will be responsible for overseeing a caseload of participants, ensuring proper documentation, and delivering effective behavioral health interventions. You will conduct thorough behavioral health assessments, develop care plans, and provide counseling, symptom management, crisis intervention, and arrange necessary services. Additionally, you will train staff on behavioral health symptoms and interventions to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work).
  • Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other relevant behavioral therapies.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply appropriate safety precautions and procedures in behavioral interventions.
  • 1-3 years of experience working with individuals in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and residents.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills to ensure compliance with care plans and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment.
  • Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) or other electronic medical record systems.
  • Additional certifications in behavioral health or therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities
