About The Position
The Behavior Specialist / Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at The May School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders in Norwood, MA provides consultation for assigned students in both classroom and residential settings. This role involves working alongside a dedicated team of BCBAs who offer mentorship, consultation, and ongoing professional growth. Utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), the specialist will develop individualized treatment plans, conduct assessments, and train staff to support school-aged children with developmental disabilities. The May School is one of the few U.S. pediatric programs specializing in both education and rehabilitation for these students, offering an innovative and supportive environment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in ABA, psychology, special education, or a related field.
- BCBA certification or must be in the process of obtaining certification.
- Strong skills in problem-solving, leadership, and clinical assessment.
- Passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultation for assigned students in both the classroom and residential settings.
- Develop individualized treatment plans using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Conduct assessments.
