About The Position

Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center is seeking energetic individuals to start a career in behavioral health as a Behavior Interventionist. We provide the necessary training, guidance, and clinical support to work in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and positively impact children's lives. In this role, you will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities, helping them develop essential communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills using ABA therapy. No prior ABA experience is needed, as our paid training and ongoing BCBA support will equip you for success. ABA is an evidence-based approach that fosters independence by strengthening various skills through personalized, engaging sessions. We focus on positive reinforcement and individualized strategies to help children navigate challenging behaviors and celebrate their progress towards greater independence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Available a minimum of 15 hours per week
• Afternoon/evening availability between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance and registration
• Willing to travel up to 25 miles from your home for client sessions
• Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills
• Comfortable learning data collection and behavior intervention techniques

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience working with children is a plus
• Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
• Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills
• Help reduce challenging behaviors using positive, evidence-based strategies
• Collect accurate session data and complete clinical documentation
• Collaborate with supervising clinicians to support client progress
• Communicate professionally with families and caregivers
• Attend ongoing training and team meetings
