About The Position

Eliot is seeking a Behavior Coach for its Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation Program, which supports children with developmental delays or disabilities in the Everett, Malden, and Medford area. The multidisciplinary team provides community-based therapeutic interventions using a coaching model with parents and caregivers.

The Behavior Coach collaborates with early education and out-of-school programs and families to address children's social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. The role uses observations, assessment tools, and family meetings to guide early interventions and promote healthy development. It is a community outreach position requiring travel in Northeast Massachusetts. The position is based at offices in Lawrence and Malden, with the ability to use either location.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field.
• Experience working with young children with challenging behaviors and/or mental health issues.
• Valid Massachusetts Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with childcare programs and families.
• Provide behavior coaching on site at childcare programs and family child care homes for young children with challenging behaviors.
• Provide support and modeling regarding behavior management strategies.
• Provide support, training, and resources regarding classroom management techniques.
• Assist in developing and implementing individual behavior support plans.
