About The Position
The Behavior Classroom Aide will work with high school-aged students with multiple disabilities and/or behavioral issues. This role requires patience and a passion for working with students, assisting with behavioral needs, toileting, and personal healthcare as needed. The aide will provide support and encouragement, assist students with classwork individually and in small groups, and work under the supervision of the classroom teacher. Training will be provided to meet the student's behavioral and educational needs.
Requirements
- Candidate should have a great deal of patience to work with students with multiple disabilities and/or behavioral issues
- Candidate should have a passion for working with students in High School grades
- Be willing to be trained to meet the behavioral and educational needs of the student
Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate support and encouragement to student
- Assist student with class work in small groups and individually
- Work under the supervision/direction of the classroom teacher
- Assist with behavioral needs, toileting and personal healthcare as needed
