About The Position

This opportunity is designed for individuals actively pursuing their BCBA certification and accruing practicum hours. It offers paid unrestricted hours and prepares individuals for success as a BCBA. The role is part of the Apex Program, which enhances development and support for team members aiming for a BCBA career, including enhanced programming and peer community building. This role is for individuals within 6-9 months of testing to become a BCBA.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s program for ABA
  • Be within ~400-600 hours (or less) of completing all practicum hours to be eligible to sit for the BCBA Exam
  • Demonstrate excellent skills in building rapport and trust with families as a behavior therapist
  • Demonstrate emerging skills in case conceptualization and client programming and planning
  • Demonstrate emerging skills in coaching and supervising RBTs to implement ESDM therapy
  • Desire to learn and grow and accept feedback

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a case supervisor for 3-5 client cases (20 paid unrestricted hours/week), set based on center needs and program progress
  • Update client goals and programming, utilizing our electronic data collection platform
  • Provide direct supervision to a team of RBTs
  • Participate in ESDM specific trainings, growing your clinical skillset
  • Write Behavior Intervention Plans, utilizing the Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skill Based Treatment (SBT)
  • Meet with families to conduct Family Treatment Guidance meetings and support, utilizing Soar’s in-house curriculum
  • Conduct and write assessment reports for new clients and re-assessments for established clients, including training on the Vineland, QABF, FAST, and the ESDM Curriculum Checklist
  • Receive coaching and feedback from Partner Clinician and other BCBAs in your clinic
  • Be a part of the Soar integrated care team, participating in interdisciplinary meetings for collaboration with Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Psychologists
  • Conduct direct client therapy (10-20 hours/week), set based on center needs and program progress
