About The Position

This opportunity is designed for individuals actively pursuing their BCBA certification and accruing practicum hours. It offers paid unrestricted hours and prepares individuals for success as a BCBA upon completion of their hours and passing the exam. This role is part of the Apex Program, which enhances development and support for practicum students, fostering community among peers across centers. The program is for individuals within 6-9 months of testing to become a BCBA.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s program for ABA
  • Be within ~400-600 hours (or less) of completing all practicum hours to be eligible to sit for the BCBA Exam
  • Demonstrate excellent skills in building rapport and trust with families as a behavior therapist
  • Demonstrate emerging skills in case conceptualization and client programming and planning
  • Demonstrate emerging skills in coaching and supervising RBTs to implement ESDM therapy
  • Desire to learn and grow and accept feedback

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a case supervisor for 3-5 client cases (20 paid unrestricted hours/week), set based on center needs and program progress
  • Update client goals and programming, utilizing our electronic data collection platform
  • Provide direct supervision to a team of RBTs
  • Participate in ESDM specific trainings, growing your clinical skillset
  • Write Behavior Intervention Plans, utilizing the Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skill Based Treatment (SBT)
  • Meet with families to conduct Family Treatment Guidance meetings and support, utilizing Soar’s in-house curriculum
  • Conduct and write assessment reports for new clients and re-assessments for established clients, including training on the Vineland, QABF, FAST, and the ESDM Curriculum Checklist
  • Receive coaching and feedback from Partner Clinician and other BCBAs in your clinic
  • Be a part of the Soar integrated care team, participating in interdisciplinary meetings for collaboration with Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Psychologists
  • Conduct direct client therapy (10-20 hours/week), set based on center needs and program progress
