About The Position
Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, provides education services for K–12 students who need additional support in traditional school settings. SESI partners with school districts to operate in-district classrooms and standalone schools serving students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. The Behavior Aide supports an assigned student as outlined in their individualized education plan (IEP), providing individualized behavior support and teaching life skills as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role involves implementing and tracking behavior support plans, supporting students’ safety and development, and collaborating with school staff and parents. Work takes place with students from varied developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma.

Responsibilities
- Work with students from varied developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Work one-on-one with an assigned student to meet IEP goals, providing accommodations and modifications as needed.
- Assist with developing and modifying behavior support plans.
- Implement behavior support plans and record and track behavior, progress toward goals, and incident data.
- Use behavior support and intervention strategies.
- Use de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint when necessary to maintain student and staff safety.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages appropriate social and behavioral skills.
- Supervise students and ensure they are monitored, including while traveling to and from school locations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent implementation of behavior support plans.
- Provide personal care support according to student needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents.
