About The Position

The Before and After School Lead Teacher ensures the smooth operation of before, lunch and after school programs for middle school students. This role involves connecting with and supervising students, creating engaging crafts and activities, and acting as a key role model for other lunch and after school teachers, providing additional direction and supervision. The position is located at the San Jose campus.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent
Ability to perform duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
Ability to frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak the English language.
Ability to often carry, lift, use repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally push, pull, or bend.
Ability to regularly hear and use clear vision with or without correction.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Ensure the smooth operation of before, lunch, and after school programs for middle school students.
Connect with and supervise students.
Create engaging crafts and activities for students.
Act as a key role model for other lunch and after school teachers.
Provide additional direction and supervision to other teachers.
Create and submit weekly lesson plans including arts, crafts, games, and other activities.
Collaborate with other faculty and staff members.
Monitor and supervise indoor and outdoor activities.
Communicate regularly with parents, school leaders, and other staff as appropriate.
