Before and After School Teacher Assistant
About The Position
AlphaBEST Education provides extended-day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students as they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment. As an AlphaBEST Group Leader Assistant, you'll help shape meaningful before and after-school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive. We're looking for an early learning professional who enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment, takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely, and is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
- Must pass a Background Screening and Central Registry check
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts) while encouraging positive peer interactions
- Make child safety the top priority at all times
- Keep the space clean and organized
- Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
- Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff
