About The Position

AlphaBEST Education provides extended day, summer, and enrichment programs that are designed to inspire and engage students while they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment. As an AlphaBEST Group Leader Assistant, you'll help shape meaningful before and after school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive. We're looking for an early learning professional who enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment, takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely, and is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed.

Requirements

  • A group supervisor shall have attained one of the following qualification levels: (1) A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field. (2) A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children. (3) An associate's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children. (4) An associate's degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required
  • Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts) while encouraging positive peer interactions
  • Make child safety the top priority at all times
  • Keep the space clean and organized
  • Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
  • Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff
