Before & After School Group Leader/Early Learning Professional
About The Position
AlphaBEST Education provides extended day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students beyond the school day. The Group Leader role offers the opportunity to shape meaningful before and after school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive. This role is ideal for educators with experience in teaching or classroom leadership, youth programs, and staff supervision or team leadership. We are looking for an early learning professional who enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment, takes child safety seriously, and is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
- 90 HOUR CERTIFICATION NEEDED
- 45 HOURS GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
- 45 HOURS SCHOOL AGE CURRICULUM
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with students
- Experience in Teaching or classroom leadership
- Experience in Youth programs
- Experience in Staff supervision or team leadership
Responsibilities
- Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts)
- Make child safety the top priority at all times
- Keep the space clean and organized
- Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
- Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff
