About The Position

Make a Difference Every Day: Become a Before & After School Site Coordinator at the Haverhill YMCA! Are you passionate about education, youth development, and leadership? As a Site Coordinator in our Before & After School Program, you’ll lead a team that creates a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for elementary-aged children. You’ll guide daily program operations, coach and support staff, and build strong relationships with families and school partners. And the best part? This year-round position continues into the summer, where you’ll step into a leadership role in our Y Day Camp program!

Requirements

  • Must be at least 20 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must meet the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) qualifications for a Site Coordinator.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience leading youth programs, activities, or groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive environment for children and families.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Must provide and maintain all documentation and certifications required by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC).
  • Must successfully complete all required trainings, certifications, and program orientation in accordance with EEC regulations and YMCA of the North Shore standards.
  • Ability to uphold YMCA policies, procedures, and core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to actively participate in program activities, including standing, walking, bending, and engaging with children throughout the day.
  • Must be able to respond appropriately and immediately to unexpected situations and emergencies.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of awareness and supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
  • Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments as program activities require.
