About The Position

AlphaBEST Education provides extended day, summer, and enrichment programs that are designed to inspire and engage students while they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment. As an AlphaBEST Site Director, you'll lead a meaningful before and after school program that helps kids learn, grow, and thrive. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment, feels confident taking the lead and running a smooth program, takes pride in delivering a high-quality student and family experience, takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely, and is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
  • Must be registered and have full clearance from the state childcare licensing agency
  • Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations
  • 90 Hour certification needed for licensing requirements- 45 hours growth and development 45 hours school age curriculum

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA in a related field) or Associate's Degree (AS/AA in a related field)
  • A 1-year state or nationally recognized credential (related to school-age care)
  • Completion of 20 credits (semester system) or 30 credits (quarter system) of training at a college/university AND at least 1 year of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program)
  • 2 or more years of qualifying teaching experience (with at least one year as a teacher) in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program)

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the site: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation
  • Oversee/facilitate curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations
  • Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards
  • Make child safety the top priority at all times
  • Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections
  • Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements
  • Supervise and mentor your site team, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring training requirements are met
  • Represent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community events
  • Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success
