The Beer, Wine & Spirits Clerk role is within the Spirits department and is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring proper display and sale of liquor products, advising customers on product quality, and maintaining department standards for service, quality, and cleanliness. The position requires adherence to company policies and the employee handbook, with a strong emphasis on customer service that goes above and beyond.
Requirements
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Candidates for this position should be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to create an experience that is beyond the everyday.
- Positive attitude and work well in a team environment.
- Can connect with people and reach a level of hospitality that exceeds guests’ expectations.

Responsibilities
- Assures proper displaying and selling of all Liquor products to customers and advises customers on the quality of wine, method of handling, and other factors affecting the product.
- Responsible for maintaining and practicing department standards.
- Responsible for serving customers with excellent service.
- Leads by example; models correct behavior and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Follows the employee handbook at all times, especially on service standards and appearance.
- At all times, meets and exceeds company standards in service, quality, and cleanliness.
- Provide customer service that is extraordinary and exceeds the expectations of our customers.
- Follow established policies and guidelines that go beyond simply smiling and greeting customers.
- Going above and beyond encompasses attitudes, respect, and flexibility.
- Have a positive “can-do” attitude; to treat others with respect; and easily adjust to changes in the workplace.
