About The Position

The Wine & Spirits Clerk/Cashier role at Festival Foods is a part-time position located in Fort Atkinson. This role is ideal for individuals with experience as a bartender, a passion for retail customer service, or a desire to help customers discover new products. The clerk will be responsible for assisting guests in finding the perfect beverages, maintaining the department's smooth operation, and providing friendly, knowledgeable service. The position requires availability until 9 PM and weekend availability.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Thorough understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies.
Ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards.
Proper training and knowledge of equipment/procedures including: hand jack, baler, forklift, pallet jack, trash compactor, proper lifting techniques, and proper scanning techniques.

Responsibilities

Act as a Product Guide by helping guests find products, offering recommendations, and taking special orders.
Deliver Great Service by answering questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Support the Team by working with associates and leadership to meet department goals and maintain high standards.
Maintain inventory levels, ensure accurate pricing, and keep shelves stocked and organized.
Operate the register accurately and efficiently.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Communicate and collaborate with vendors, managers, and fellow associates.
Ensure regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule and provide adequate notice for absences.
Perform other duties as assigned.
