About The Position

This is a full-time hourly lead position in the Beer, Wine, and Liquor Department. The role involves managing various aspects of the department, including ordering, stocking, pricing, product rotation, merchandising, record keeping, inventory control, scanner maintenance, and maintaining cleanliness. A key part of the role is customer relations on the sales floor, with an emphasis on suggestive selling and consumer education. The applicant must adhere to all state regulations concerning the sale of alcoholic beverages.

Requirements

• Must be available to be scheduled 35+ hours a week, including nights and weekends, based on department needs.
• Customer service orientation.
• Communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Organizational ability.
• Reliable and dependable.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in the Beer and Wine department.
• Extensive knowledge of beers and craft beers.
• Extensive knowledge of liquor and wine.

Responsibilities

• Ordering, stocking, pricing, rotation, and merchandising of products.
• Record keeping and inventory management (Backstock Control).
• Scanner maintenance.
• Housekeeping and maintaining department cleanliness.
• Customer relations on the salesfloor, including suggestive selling.
• Consumer education.
• Complying with all State regulations regarding the sale of Spirituous Liquor.
