About The Position

The Beer Merchandiser supports Applejack Wine & Spirits’ customer service experience by keeping shelves stocked and helping maintain a positive retail environment that provides fast, efficient, and friendly service. The role includes assisting customers, recommending products, maintaining sales-floor standards, and keeping the work area clean and safe. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of spirits experience.
• Liquor or service industry experience.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Interest in the alcoholic beverage industry.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift 40–60 lbs.
• Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by proactively approaching customers, identifying their needs, addressing questions, and seeking expert advice when needed.
• Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Recommend products based on customer needs and show additional products to drive sales.
• Keep shelves well stocked.
• Maintain safe aisles and address empty boxes as needed.
• Investigate and address on-hand stock issues proactively.
• Ensure product signage is in place and accurate.
• Keep the sales floor free from clutter.
• Sweep or mop in the event of breakage.
• Merchandise products safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
