About The Position

The Beauty Team Leader is the frontline execution lead for the store’s Beauty area, primarily responsible for product merchandising, replenishment and recovery, expiration-date checks, Tester management, price labels, promotional display maintenance, stockroom organization, receiving support, area cleanliness, product recommendations, development of the Assistant Team Lead, and coaching of team members. Under the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, the Beauty Team Leader leads or supports employees in the assigned area in completing daily tasks, ensuring organized merchandising, accurate pricing, timely replenishment, cleanliness, and proper customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma / vocational secondary school or above.
  • Experience in retail, supermarkets, convenience stores, beauty, collectible/toy retail, lifestyle retail, or service industries is preferred; candidates without experience may be trained.
  • Familiar with or willing to learn product merchandising, replenishment and recovery, price labels, expiration management, customer service, cleanliness, receiving organization, and basic work records.
  • Strong execution and sense of responsibility, good service and attention to detail, and effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Shelving products, front-facing and filling gaps, category merchandising, shelf organization, and maintaining full shelves in the Beauty area.
  • Ensuring merchandise is neatly displayed, price labels are accurate, and POP/promotional labels are clear and current.
  • Promptly correcting out-of-stocks, misplaced items, incorrect price labels, disorganized displays, and similar issues, and reporting them to the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.
  • Completing daily replenishment, recovery, FIFO rotation, and product put-away as required.
  • Monitoring fast-selling items, out-of-stocks, slow-moving products, insufficient inventory, and excess stock; providing timely feedback and assisting with adjustments.
  • Keeping aisles clear during replenishment; merchandise may not be placed directly on the floor, dragged, or allowed to obstruct customer traffic.
  • Checking that price labels are complete, centered, and legible, and ensuring prices correspond to the correct products.
  • Promptly removing or replacing expired promotional, sale, POP, or promotional-display materials and confirming restoration.
  • Supporting display adjustments for new products, promotions, and priority merchandise to improve the customer browsing and shopping experience.
  • Checking expiration dates of Beauty products as required and monitoring near-expiration, damaged, contaminated, spoiled, or otherwise unsellable products.
  • Maintaining Tester cleanliness, placement, barcode covering, records, and disposal to prevent incorrect scanning, accidental sale, or management errors.
  • Immediately removing, documenting, and reporting any expired product or Tester exception from the sales floor.
  • Executing Beauty promotions, new-product displays, priority-product promotions, and promotional-display adjustments.
  • Monitoring Beauty sales performance, customer feedback, fast-selling and slow-moving products, and recommending merchandising adjustments.
  • Helping ensure timely updates to promotional displays, sale labels, POP materials, promotional displays, and shelf presentations.
  • Leading by example in proactively welcoming customers, greeting them with a smile, and providing friendly service.
  • Being familiar with priority products, new products, best sellers, and basic selling points within the area and providing basic product recommendations.
  • Promptly escalating customer complaints, returns/exchanges, negative feedback, or issues that cannot be resolved.
  • Coaching new employees in the area and helping them learn product locations, replenishment standards, service language, and work processes.
  • Assigning team member tasks appropriately and overseeing replenishment, recovery, cleanliness, price labels, stockroom organization, and related work.
  • Promptly addressing and reporting team member issues involving discipline, service, execution, or teamwork.
  • Participating in opening and closing meetings and communicating area priorities, promotions, replenishment arrangements, and corrective actions.
  • Completing or assisting with work records, expiration records, receiving-exception records, and corrective-action feedback on time.
  • Assisting the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager in analyzing recurring issues and driving corrective actions.
