About The Position

The Beauty Advisor (BA) provides an exceptional experience for Ulta Beauty guests by identifying their needs, conducting cashier tasks, keeping merchandise fixtures stocked, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. The BA supports store performance, guest service, and operational processes while demonstrating a passion for beauty, strong service skills, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge. The role includes engaging guests, recommending products and services, handling sales and transactions, supporting appointments and in-store events, and staying informed about products and services. Beauty Advisors also contribute to an inclusive and collaborative store environment, participate in ongoing training, and help maintain compliance, merchandising, inventory, and loss-prevention standards. The position requires a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. It involves continuous mobility and frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting, as well as lifting, carrying, or moving up to 25 pounds. Requirements

High school diploma is preferred.
One year of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is preferred.
Demonstrated passion for guest service and competency in selling.
Proficiency with basic technology, such as point-of-sale systems and Apple devices.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Ability to troubleshoot.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to perform the described physical duties, including lifting, carrying, or moving up to 25 pounds, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.

Responsibilities

Contribute to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty and credit, omnichannel sales, and retail shrink.
Greet and engage guests, personalize service, answer questions, communicate promotions, and recommend complementary products and services.
Handle customer service, sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously, and assist with online orders.
Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
Book appointments and support services and in-store events that deliver guest experiences and meet sales goals.
Stay informed about new and existing products and services, including their ingredients and benefits.
Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
Support an inclusive environment for teammates, peers, and guests.
Share information about the guest loyalty program, credit, and Ulta Beauty app with guests.
Collaborate with managers and associates to help grow the business.
Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education.
Follow Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, standards, and dress code.
Keep assigned work areas replenished, signed, and faced, and ensure product testers are available.
Maintain cleanliness and store standards across the sales floor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
Complete merchandise resets, planograms, marketing and advertising displays, physical inventory procedures, and shipment processing or unloading using company technology and best practices.
Protect company assets by following loss prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service.
Complete other operational tasks as directed.
