About The Position

Responsible for operating and overseeing the automated paint line for structural steel beams. Ensures proper coating application, equipment functionality, and quality control throughout the painting process. This role involves the operation of machines, ovens, and baths, as well as pumps. The operator will be responsible for setting paint guns at high voltage levels and air flow rates, managing painting programs and adapting parameters, and possessing a full understanding of ATEX risks, explosive mass, and automatic fire systems (STS). The role also includes running the PH degreasing bath equipment for production, including degreasing and rinsing of products, drying, and operating the baking oven and paint booths. Bath controls (pH tab, titration products) and paint checks (Elcometer) are also key responsibilities. The operator will use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as glasses, overalls, masks, earplugs, caps, gloves, and plastic sleeves. Maintenance tasks include PM Blow guns, using an ATEX vacuum cleaner for floors and powder bins, operating a cleaning machine for the floor, maintaining the suction cabin for cleaning powder tanks, and utilizing plastic bags and shovels or dust collectors to collect powder. The role also requires the capability to use spare parts for preventive maintenance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience with stamping and Roll forming presses and manufacturing.
  • Ability to read blueprints/technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of measuring tools.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Teamwork.
  • Physical stamina (lifting, standing).
