About The Position
The Club at Mediterra, an extraordinary private club located in Naples, Florida is seeking Host/ Hostess (Full Time/ Part Time Seasonal) to join our team. The ideal candidates must be passionate about hospitality, service and thoroughly enjoy creating memorable experiences. Job Summary: The Host/Hostess greets members upon arrival, monitors the Waiting List, enters members arrival using a computer system, escorts members to their table and bid them farewell as they leave. Host/Hostess presents a positive first impression of the Club’s friendliness, excellent service, and high standards. A Host/Hostess must be able to carry natural conversation with members without sounding scripted or intrusive. As a member of an energetic team, the Host/Hostess will also need to answer the phones and fill To-go orders.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and/or carry 20 pounds
- Available to work a flexible schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and/or holidays
- Excellent customer service skills
- Passion for providing extraordinary service
- Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone
- Friendly, open disposition and professional appearance
- Attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Greet members warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus; introduce their server
- Use visual cues to seat members in either the bar or dining area depending on their preference
- Assisting members with reservations, requests, and communicating messages to the Leadership team
- Answer incoming calls to the restaurant utilizing proper phone etiquette
- Taking To-go orders by having full menu knowledge
- Relaying any special dietary restrictions and special requests
- Performing opening and closing duties as assigned by leadership
- Assist dining room staff by setting and clearing tables; replenishing water; serving beverages
- Working in collaboration with other teammates to deliver members/guests expectations
- Attending pre-meal meetings as requested by leadership
