About The Position

The BDC Sales Agent responds to Internet customer inquiries and ensures that the dealership actualizes its maximum profit potential on Internet sales. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Must possess strong customer service skills and the ability to deescalate conflict.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingual fluency is highly advantageous.
  • Must have the ability to sit for long hours while working from a desktop computer, phone systems, headsets, and an assortment of software.
  • Must have ample dexterity to bend, reach, stretch, sit, stand, type, and lift up to 30 pounds.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Phone skills fluency required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and Motor Vehicle Report.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior sales, call center, internet department or BDC experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates effectively with Internet customers and prospects according to their preferred method of communication, whether by phone, by email or in person with a call, text, or email including a personalized CoVideo.
  • Has thorough knowledge of all dealership products and services and completes required Manufacturer and SOAG Training.
  • Directs customers to product information resources, including those available on the Internet.
  • Checks email frequently and responds to inquiries immediately.
  • Delivers messages intended for other departments promptly.
  • Notify customers that their messages have been forwarded to the appropriate personnel for prompt attention.
  • Handles all personal Internet leads and backs up sales team with sales and follow up.
  • Maintains an ongoing customer database to capture repeat business by driving business development through outbound equity mining, anniversary calls, and birthday calls.
  • Ensures all calls are answered within three rings.
  • Refrains from avoiding calls.
  • Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories etc., and their benefits to customers.
  • Attends product and sales training as requested by manager and manufacturer.
  • Attends sales meetings when required.
  • Ensure all assigned tasks are cleared daily.
  • Follow all SOAG polices and procedures.
  • Calling missed appointments from the prior day.
  • Return missed calls daily.
  • Maintain a positive client experience by remaining upbeat and friendly at all times.
  • Be coachable in improving skills to meet expectations set by SOAG.
  • Adhere to work schedule as assigned.
  • Maintains professional appearance by following uniform policy and guidelines.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
