About The Position

Beckley Chevrolet is seeking an experienced, high-energy BDC Manager to lead their Business Development Center and drive results. This is not an entry-level management position, and strong automotive dealership BDC experience is required. The ideal candidate will understand dealership operations, be skilled in building and managing a high-performing BDC team, and be comfortable using AI-powered platforms and modern dealership technology to enhance efficiency, customer engagement, follow-up, and appointment performance.

Requirements

  • Strong previous automotive dealership BDC experience — REQUIRED
  • Ability to effectively work with AI platforms and AI-powered dealership tools — REQUIRED
  • Comfortable learning, implementing, and managing new technology and automation
  • Proven ability to manage internet leads, inbound calls, outbound campaigns, and unsold follow-up
  • Strong understanding of dealership CRM processes and lead management
  • Ability to train, coach, motivate, and hold BDC agents accountable
  • Excellent phone, text, and email communication skills
  • Strong appointment-setting and objection-handling skills
  • A process-driven mindset with close attention to follow-up
  • Ability to analyze BDC performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • High energy, competitive attitude, and a strong desire to win
  • Candidates must also be comfortable working with AI platforms, automation, CRM technology, and evolving digital tools.

  • We are looking for a proven dealership BDC professional who can take ownership of the department, establish accountability, embrace technology, and produce measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the dealership BDC
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop BDC representatives
  • Monitor incoming internet leads and phone opportunities
  • Ensure leads are worked quickly, consistently, and according to process
  • Improve appointment set, show, and sold performance
  • Utilize AI platforms, automation, and dealership technology to improve BDC productivity and customer engagement
  • Monitor AI-generated communication and automated follow-up to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Identify opportunities to use AI and technology to improve processes and results
  • Monitor calls, texts, emails, and CRM activity for quality and accountability
  • Conduct regular one-on-one coaching and team training
  • Build effective follow-up processes for unsold customers and missed appointments
  • Work closely with the General Manager and Sales Management team
  • Track departmental KPIs and provide regular performance reporting
  • Hold the team accountable to activity and performance standards
  • Develop campaigns to generate additional showroom traffic and sales opportunities
