About The Position

Laird Noller Ford is looking for an experienced, driven BDC Manager to lead and grow our Business Development Center. We are looking for someone with proven automotive BDC experience and a demonstrated track record of results. This is not an entry-level management position. The right candidate understands how to lead a team, manage internet and phone leads, improve appointment-setting and show rates, hold employees accountable, and turn opportunities into showroom traffic and sales. We want someone who is competitive, organized, great with people, and looking for a company where they can grow beyond their current role.

Requirements

  • Previous automotive BDC experience required
  • BDC management or leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals
  • Strong understanding of automotive CRM systems and lead-management processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong phone presence and customer-service skills
  • Comfortable coaching employees and holding a team accountable
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn dealership systems quickly
  • Self-motivated and results-driven
  • Professional, dependable, and able to work effectively with customers and employees at all levels

  • Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-employment screening

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, train, and develop the BDC team
  • Manage inbound and outbound phone, internet, and digital leads
  • Monitor lead response times, appointment-setting, show rates, sold rates, and overall BDC performance
  • Establish clear daily, weekly, and monthly goals for the department
  • Review calls, texts, emails, and CRM activity for quality and consistency
  • Ensure every lead receives timely and professional follow-up
  • Develop processes to improve customer engagement and appointment conversion
  • Work closely with sales managers and the sales team to ensure a smooth handoff from the BDC to the showroom
  • Hold team members accountable for activity, follow-up, and results
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and reporting
  • Track department KPIs and communicate results to leadership
  • Recruit, train, and develop BDC employees as needed
