We have already built the hard part: the platform, the service lines, and the team. You will not inherit a cold start. You step into an established brand, a senior team that clients already trust, and steady inbound from our network and our founder. Your job is to widen the top of that funnel and own the relationships that feed it. We are hiring a BD Manager, Organizations & Partnerships to source new client opportunities, develop and manage our channel partnerships, and run our presence in the market through events and brand-building. You create momentum and get the right founders and CEOs into conversations with our senior team. You open the door and set the table. Our Managing Director, CFOs, Controllers, and founder lead the financial and accounting review, shape the pitch, and close the work. You keep the process moving underneath: follow-ups, NDAs, information requests, and the data room, and you keep the pipeline clean and current.

This role reports into our Founder and CEO, Faheem Siddiqi.

This is an origination and relationship role, not a closing role. We sell consultatively to founders and CEOs, and we win on our body of work, reputation and trust. You will spend your time finding and warming the right relationships, then handing a qualified conversation to the senior team. You won’t carry a closing quota.

Requirements

• 5-7 years in origination, business development, relationship management, or a client-facing role in finance or a related field (required)
• Background in asset-based lending, commercial lending, private credit, or fintech, with an active network of consumer brands and founders (required)
• A real rolodex: relationships you can activate now
• Comfort building and holding relationships with founders, CEOs, and senior capital partners
• Strong organization and follow-through; you keep a pipeline clean and let nothing fall through the cracks
• Self-directed and commercially minded; you create momentum without waiting for direction
• Comfortable in a lean, high-performance, distributed team
• Human-led, AI-driven mindset; willing to use Claude and modern tools to work faster
• You do not need to be a closer. You need to be an exceptional originator and relationship-builder who can put our senior team in front of the right people.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with consumer business models such as DTC, retail, omnichannel, and wholesale (strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

• Source new client relationships across consumer brands, drawing on your network in asset-based lending, commercial lending, private credit, fintech, and the broader consumer ecosystem
• Get qualified founders and CEOs into first conversations with our senior team, month over month and week over week.
• Run a consistent origination motion that combines warm introductions, targeted outbound, and relationship follow-up
• Research target brands and read the signals that a company is ready for our help: a growth inflection, a capital event, liquidity pressure, a new sponsor, or new leadership
• Develop and manage the referral relationships that drive a large share of our pipeline: sponsors, lenders, private credit funds, investment banks, brokers, and adjacent service providers
• Keep partners engaged with a steady cadence of contact, value, and reciprocity
• Track partner-sourced pipeline so no introduction goes cold and every relationship is worked
• Identify, open, and formalize new referral channels over time
• Own our presence at the industry events, conferences, and gatherings where founders and capital partners spend their time
• Plan and run the firm’s event calendar, from selection through on-site presence through follow- up
• Represent FinanceWithin in the market with the credibility founders and CEOs expect
• Turn events and relationships into durable brand presence, so the firm is known and trusted in our verticals
• Support every active deal with the mechanics that keep it moving: follow-ups, NDAs, information requests, and data room setup
• Keep the pipeline clean, current, and accurate so leadership always sees the true state of the funnel
• Free the senior team to focus on the financial review, the accounting review, and the pitch
• Build and improve the templates, cadence, and systems that make origination repeatable rather than one-off
• Work in a human-led, AI-driven way, using Claude and modern tools to research, prepare, and move faster without losing rigor
