About The Position

The BD / Business Case Analyst supports commercial and marketing leadership by developing data‑driven business cases, financial models, and market insights that inform growth decisions across the DePuy Synthes portfolio. This role partners closely with Marketing, Commercial, and Business Development teams to evaluate new opportunities, partnerships, and investments, translating complex data into clear recommendations that drive strategic and profitable growth. The position offers strong exposure to cross‑functional stakeholders and enterprise‑level decision making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Generally requires 4-6 years of professional work experience in business analysis, commercial analytics, consulting, or a related area.
  • Experience supporting financial modeling, business cases, or analytical projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; comfort working with data sets.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
  • English (business proficiency).

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or life sciences.
  • Exposure to marketing strategy, commercial operations, or business development.
  • Familiarity with market sizing, pricing analysis, or portfolio strategy concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of business cases, financial models, and scenario analyses for marketing and commercial initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Commercial teams to evaluate growth opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Conduct market, competitive, and trend analysis to inform strategic planning and portfolio decisions.
  • Translate customer, market, and partner insights into actionable recommendations for product and commercialization strategies.
  • Prepare clear, concise executive‑ready presentations and supporting materials for leadership reviews and investment decisions.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Marketing, Finance, and Strategy teams to ensure alignment with long‑term business objectives.
  • Monitor industry, technology, and healthcare trends to support medium‑ and long‑term commercial planning.
