About The Position

The Assistant Director of Enhanced Behavior Support Service Center is a Full-Time Salaried Exempt Employee Role. The center operates from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. The compensation range is $95,000-$105,000, determined by service provided, professional experience, and license/certifications held. This role is based in New Hyde Park, NY.

Requirements

  • Must be a New York State Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Must have a passion for working with children, families, and therapists
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Must be a motivated team player, and exercise patience/professionalism
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Understand and demonstrate the company core values

Nice To Haves

  • Certified NYS Special Education Teacher is a plus.
  • Certification and experience in Crisis Management (e.g., PMT, CPI) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a small student caseload of students at the center by overseeing assessments (e.g., ABLLS, VB-MAPP), conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), creation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) and updating strategies as needed, and developing and monitoring IEP goals.
  • Communicate and collaborate with parents and district representatives of students on your caseload including providing parent training.
  • Provide Behavior Technicians (BTs) on their caseload with ongoing training and supervision by observing them weekly, overseeing Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) competency assessments, collecting Interobserver Agreement (IOA) and Treatment Integrity data, and provide staff with feedback.
  • Assist Directors by drafting documentation and participating in disciplinary meetings with staff.
  • Provide BCBA/LBA Supervision which includes individual supervision, group supervision, creating curriculum, and monthly training.
  • Assist Director in new clinical supervisor training and review paperwork prior to submitting documentation to Director for final review.
  • Provide additional ongoing training, support, and consultation to other Clinical Supervisors.
  • Assist Director with conducting interviews and hiring new staff.
  • Assist with creation of daily schedule and modifications.
  • Attended Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings and complete subsequent paperwork. This includes overseeing initial CSE meetings for new students and assisting other clinical staff during Annual Review meetings.
  • Complete quarterly progress reports for assigned students.
  • Travel to and working from other locations assigned in order to assist learners who are transitioning from interim placement to district placement. Provide on-going support to assist with the transition.
  • Supporting safe environment for staff and learners utilizing PMT strategies during crisis.
