Requirements

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field
  • One year of experience working with autism spectrum disorders and behavior change programs
  • BCBA certification
  • CPR certification
  • Valley de-escalation certification

Nice To Haves

  • Two years working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders or other disabilities and co-occurring health disorders
  • Two years of experience with functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans

Responsibilities

  • Conducts functional assessments of challenging behaviors for assigned clients.
  • Designs, implements and evaluates behavioral support and intervention plans.
  • Supports caregivers of clients with strategies for behavior support to maximize individual and familial functioning.
  • Teaches and models behavior support techniques to caregivers and direct care staff.
  • Provides clinical supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians and assigned clinical staff.
  • Provides initial and ongoing Registered Behavior Technician training and competency assessment.
  • Monitors implementation and documentation (programs, targets, data) for assigned Registered Behavior Technicians and other direct support staff.
  • Meets direct care and documentation requirements for assigned caseload.
