About The Position

Being a BCBA at Devereux has its Advantages! You will be directly involved in the completion of Functional Behavioral Assessments and PBSPs on children with Behavioral and Emotional Support needs. This position also has the opportunity for training staff teams and (as much as possible) parents on the implementation of PBSP and data-collection. Our treatment teams often include: principal, head teacher, classroom teacher, 2-3 direct care staff, OT, SLP, PT, Nurse, and job coaches. You will be able to provide regular training in ABA concepts and principles for all staff. The Devereux Center for Autism Research and Education Services (CARES) is an educational program licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that provides services to students, ages 5 to 21, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. CARES offers an environment that focuses on teaching each student based on his or her unique strengths and needs. Programming is focused on increasing independence for each student, particularly in the areas of: Communication Social skills Self-care routines Community integration Recreation and leisure Domestic skills Self-determination Employment Instruction is informed by research literature on evidence-based practices for students with autism and development disabilities. Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF) acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Requirements

Masters’ or Doctoral degree in psychology, special education or related field.
Prior experience working with students with special needs.
Prior experience writing FBAs, BSPs.

Nice To Haves

Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA or BCBA-D) preferred.
