About The Position
This role involves operating a stand-up forklift and occasionally a sit-down forklift. The position assists others by performing specific or general duties and machine operation within the BC assembly area. Responsibilities may include operating cut-to-length equipment, forming backs using a break and roll, and spot welding housing components. The role also requires operating an ironworker as needed, performing various assembly duties including assembly and packing, and moving product within the department using manual and powered material handling equipment. The employee is expected to report defects to the Supervisor and help maintain a clean work area, machines, and equipment by following specific verbal and/or written instructions and referring difficult problems to the Supervisor.
Requirements
- Must operate a stand up forklift.
- Must occasionally operate a sit down forklift.
- Ability to operate cut to length equipment.
- Ability to form backs using the break and roll.
- Ability to assemble by spot welding housing components.
- Ability to operate ironworker.
- Ability to perform various assembly duties, such as assembly and pack.
- Ability to move product within department using manual and powered material handling equipment.
- Ability to report defects to Supervisor.
